Applicable Law

AliyahTech operates from the State of Israel and serves a global community. We process personal data in accordance with:

  • The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 where it applies to visitors located in the UK.

Information Sharing & Sub-processors

AliyahTech does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with vetted service providers acting on our behalf under written terms requiring confidentiality and adequate security. Current categories of sub-processors include:

  • Hosting and content delivery
  • Database, authentication, and serverless backend
  • Transactional and newsletter email delivery
  • Analytics (only if you have consented)
  • Event management and ticketing platforms

A current list of named sub-processors is available on request at info@aliyahtech.org. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AliyahTech, our community, or others.

International Data Transfers

Personal data may be processed in Israel — which the European Commission has recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection — and in other jurisdictions where our sub-processors operate. Where data leaves the EU/EEA or UK to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction — including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege role assignment, and periodic review of our practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet legal obligations. Indicative retention periods:

  • Request deletion ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal obligations.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Data portability where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the link in each message or at /unsubscribe.

To exercise any of these rights, contact info@aliyahtech.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Israel, the Privacy Protection Authority (PPA); in the EU, your local data protection authority; in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Marketing & Anti-Spam

We send marketing and community communications only with your prior opt-in consent, in line with GDPR and Israel's Spam Law (Amendment 40 to the Communications Law, 1982). Every message includes a one-click unsubscribe option, and you can withdraw consent at any time at /unsubscribe.

Our services are intended for adults and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 (or under 14 where Israeli law applies). If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
